Maybe I should put a picture of Garfield in a frame. You know, as a kind of shorthand way of saying 'I love lasagna.' That would be so f*cking inside. Or how 'bout a photo of *President* Garfield? Oh shit, that would be totally meta! People would be all like: Jane, why do you have a photo of President Garfield on your mantle? And I'd be like: Because I like lasagna, of course.
This is one of the only stoner movies that made me feel high while watching it. Gregg Araki really captured the feeling insanely well. Everything feels like it exists in a world that’s living outside of time. Every scene just flows into each other and feels detached from reality.
If you’ve ever been TOO high you really feel empathy for what Jane tries to accomplish after eating 12 weed cupcakes. She tries her best and keeps making lists and she’s stuck in this endless chain of events that lead to disaster after disaster. But she has a really great attitude that made this a lot of fun to watch. She’s just so pure in the face of everything going wrong.
