So… this film surprised me. I know it’s silly and ridiculous at times but I’ve learned to not take M. Night Shyamalan films seriously, I’ve been burned too many times. I would actually say that this didn’t feel like a Shyamalan film. Josh Hartnett delivers a creepy performance and it’s refreshing to see him in a lead role. The dialogue was a little awkward and unnatural but that elevated the serial killer vibe. The third act is where this falters but last 10 minutes of this is gold. This also gets bonus points for the Kid Cudi cameo and for the music actually being pretty good. It’s a fun film.
