Remember, no man is a failure who has friends.
No better film to watch this very day. I've never in a distant future when i re-watch it i'm going to forget those magestic last 10 minutes and stop crying. By a country mile the best christmas film out there and one of cinema's greatest achievements and most powerfully beautiful messages ever put to film by such a tighly written screenplay about the importance of family, love and friendship and one of the very first film out there to go in deep highlighting the male mental health character study. It tells the story of not just George Bailey but the whole town and shows what true happiness of life. Not only does this movie absolutely entertain us with its impeccable storytelling and perfect performances, it makes us better as human beings by the time the credits roll. it asks us to define ourselves not through riches and gain, but through a wealth of character, to add meaning and worth to our lives. Such a lighthearted and beautiful film with awesome characters, enganging story and a atmosphere that feels so hopeful and sad when the credits start rolling. This is what cinema was created for: trasmit emotions and realistic themes that changes us for inside without feeling pretentious and boring. An epitome of why we watch, love movies and we should appreciate the life that we have and doing the right thing is sometimes hard, but it is ultimately rewarding. What a gorgeous and inspirational film that everyone should watch before die.
