Gorgeous in an entirely different way than the first; where that opened on wheatstalks, this opens on grains, and the ending reaps what was sown 25 years ago. Romulus and Remus themselves oversee the duel for the Dream of Rome. Paul Mescal and Pedro Pascal naysayers are delusional—suspect to turn around and sing the praises of Chalamet’s performance in Dune: Part Two. Need I say anything about Denzel? I don’t think so.
I believe this is better than the first, likely because I actually understand the political context as lived experience rather than textbook knowledge.
