Wes Ball did good.
Visually beautiful, I enjoyed the adventurous atmosphere, the world building and the new characters.
I didn’t really like the villain however, he felt empty…. Not much to him, or his motives, basic action movie villain.
I like that they kept Caesar’s legacy going, but I wish they went deeper into it, you know? Like showed why the villain was acting this way with Caesar’s teachings and how he interpreted them, in the end it felt just like a random name drop to me.
