As vocal as I have always been on my reviews it's nearly impossible for me to give a bad rating to a Spike Lee movie. It felt a bit weird seeing the reviews in google though whatever, everyone is entitled to their opinion ig.
But again, I just feel so comfortable watching his direction. Be it crime dramas involving black rights, or war flicks, or about mafia life or an epic biopic over a black man or even a bank heist gone wrong, it's always beautiful. This now, was a blend of a bigger plot about a serial killing mystery with many subplots about the characters as they beautifully develop with increasing screentime.
Also, Adrien Brody 😳😳 damn I don't even know what to say lol I'm kinda speechless.
Martin Scorsese developed my movie taste from the start of my movie watching journey, and after a beautiful seven year spell Spike Lee took the baton. Thank 2023 I discovered him.
