All jokes aside, this film is an integral part of our existence on our planet. Maybe one of the most empowering films I’ve watched in my entire life. The difference between the B&W scenes being Objective and the Colour scenes being Subjective makes the viewing different for every spectator. I got past the 1st act thinking ‘wow, the trinity sequence hasn’t even happened yet’ and thought it couldn’t get any better. I was wrong. I then said the same about the trinity sequence and saying that the film possibly couldn’t get any better than that. I was wrong. THAT 3RD ACT. What an amazing way to conclude such a vital part of international history. Nolan’s best work by far however of course it isn’t something I’d choose to watch over and over again.
Hats off to Cillian Murphy for winning his first Oscar and hopefully not his last as well as Downey Jr. giving us a career best. I don’t think anybody in this cast gave a bad performance and that is extremely rare for huge films like this.
