The movie suffers from being a sequel to a thriller. If you’re a fan of the first, you’ll undoubtedly be watching the movie through the lens of Vijay. Who is this character? Why will they be important? Short of breaking the fourth wall the movie essentially speaks to its audience telling them what’s to come. Unfortunately this leaves the characters of this movie to play catch up throughout much of the first half. Which brings us to the actors who all try their hardest but are all spread so thin. No one gets their time to shine or show off their prowess, not Ajay, not Tabu, and not even Akshay. All that said it’s still a fun time and has more than enough to have you dissect every frame until the end.
