Coincidentally, I had salmon for lunch today🐟 Also I might be in the minority cause I didn't actually learn of this film’s existence through the roast video (although yes, after it blew up I was compelled to watch the whole thing). I actually remember looking it up cause I was listening to Kadhal En Kaviye and let’s be real, the title Salmon 3D kind of stands out. Also Vijay Yesudas as the lead?? 

At the time, I didn’t bother much beyond skipping through it and wondering what on earth was happening. But now, having watched it fully, I can confidently say I’m not the same person anymore. The cast alone is wild — Yesudas’ son as the protagonist, Rajeev Pillai, Basheer Bashi, Shiyas Kareem, Jabir from Made for Each Other to name a few... like, what even is this lineup? 😭😭

The funniest part though, is when I first saw the music video for the song, I was like..why is this shot like a pre-wedding video or something? But now after sitting through the whole thing, I gotta say that might have been the most professionally done part of the entire film. Safe to assume that’s where the entire budget went. but i gotta ask… what were they THINKING when they decided to release it not only in malayalam but in tamil too?? Like bro, enthin? 

I even watched an interview where Vijay Yesudas was asked if this movie was based on a true story💀 and his answer was somehow even funnier. He said the protagonist is just a “normal guy” living his life in Dubai… and then things happen.

Anyways, i’m one of those people who love watching trash for the inside jokes and memes so i survived, but honestly y’all should only watch it if you have time to waste and don’t mind losing a few brain cells. It’s firmly in my zero stars list but now half of the movies on that list looks like a masterpiece. My condolences to anyone who paid to see this in theaters🤡
