This was the first movie I've seen by myself in theaters in 13 years. I watched the masterpiece Despicable Me while my dad and sister watched Inception.
I can understand why people adore this movie, given its amazing practical spectacles and top-notch acting (which was great as always), but I just didn't find myself completely engrossed. Maybe it was because I watched it more for Nolan's brand rather than my personal interest in the subject matter. I know that Nolan had a lot of information to fit in, but it seemed like he revisited some of the messages repeatedly, resulting in a bloated run time. This is also the second Nolan movie in a row I found the background music slightly overwhelming, making the dialogue tough to hear at times.
Regardless, I liked the final punch Nolan left us with to ponder on. Always sticks the landing.
