When AMC put out a warning to not sing during the show…..that was meant for me. I am the person they were warning you about. And I didn’t sing, but I did lip-sync every number in this movie. I loved it so much.
P.S. When they went to Wiz-a-Mania, I leaned into my friend that went to the show with me to tell him that this was the first musical bit that wasn’t in the Broadway show, and then those two walked out as the Wise Ones (if you know, you know), I literally squealed in the theater! Then I wanted to explain to him the reason behind their significance, but I realized I’m just being an asshole and should let him watch the goddamn movie.
Also, the sound mixing was terrible. If I didn’t already know the songs, I don’t think I would have heard half the words sung. The voices weren’t nearly loud enough compared to the music. I hope that isn’t an issue when I eventually stream this forty-plus times.
