Well, it's been five years since I made my Letterboxd account, so here are some thoughts that I've been having lately:
-It truly means the world to me that y'all have wanted to hear me bitch about movies for the last half a decade
-Man, 2018 was that long ago?
-Hey, at least I wasn't on Twitter for that long (cough) Elon Musk (cough)
-Speaking of Twitter, it seems like film discourse on that site has gotten 100x worse ever since I ditched it
-Speaking of ditching things, the reception for THE MONKEY KING makes me feel vindicated in not watching anymore Netflix Animation movies
-I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we started hearing about some executive meddling going on over there, especially since Pearl Studio also made OVER THE MOON and ABOMINABLE
-I still think Guillermo del Toro's PINOCCHIO is mid, sorry not sorry
-I know the word "mid" gets a lot of hate, but to be honest, I think it's such a fun word to say and I don't know why 🤣
