I have an incredible amount of thoughts, here are a few:
-so many recognizable faces that I lost count within a half hour
-someone get Cillian Murphy some brown contacts ASAP!!!!!!
-you could hear a pin drop in the theatre for the entirety of the film, which is such a rarity now.
-the theatre in my city was supposed to be showing this in 70mm, but the machine broke before they even had a chance
-people are right, this IS like The Social Network (also one of my favourite movies ever honestly)
-I felt like shit afterwards, but walking out to a sea of people dressed like Barbie & Ken helped so so so much
-the explosion was small. There, I said it!!! It was small and honestly, I was somewhat expecting something….bigger? I felt like that did not fully illustrate the gravity of what that test explosion, or the actual bombings were. Not even close. If actually took away from the gravity of the situation.
-desperately wishing I could have done the Barbenheimer double feature, and devastated that I couldn’t make that happen for myself
-Cillian Murphy did an amazing job as Oppenheimer. I forgot he was Cillian Murphy
-I bought tickets for the showing on the 28th of July as soon as I finished my first watch (and they’re in the same exact seats we were in this time! Kinda to the left, definitely not in the centre, but that’s okay)
