Based on the true account of Doug White, this one fulfills exactly the awful Christian film prototype you’re used to, no matter if it’s based on a true story: awful acting, inconsequential chain of events, rushed spiritual conversion, Heather Graham giving probably her worst performance ever, and Quaid just vibin’. Must be honest: I applaud Quaid’s decision to step away from brainless blockbusters and participate in films that have a powerful spiritual message and an actual turning to Christ (do refer also to I Can Only Imagine), but I can’t really recommend this to anyone except for those seeking for a spiritual revival.
