It is difficult to imagine in this time and age that a story like this could be reinvented in a stylish way with such an effective balance between genres and emotions: moving, funny, scary, menacing, tender and wholesome at the same time, doing all basic things right and touching brave, sensitive fibers. The animation suits the mood very well and the life lessons are not forced under any particular circumstance, except maybe for a couple of instances.
This came to our hearts as a new Christmas tradition proposal and many homes are embracing it wholly. It also receives my approval.
