Spielberg masterpiece is only my third favorite movie of the year. Let That sink in for a moment. Jesus Christ this hit me on a personal level. When I was driving home, it just hit me. This movie is my life. Early memories being defined by trains, having people call it a hobby when it’s so much more, dating a religous girl who causes you the wrong name up until the end, going from being called Sami, samuel, and Sam. My dad and I gave the same relationship here. All of this movie is my life, and what’s at the center of it? Passion. Spielberg you managed to make me cry again. You’ll forever be one of the best to ever do it.
