holly hunter's change of heart comes at the realization that william hurt is, in fact, a journalist. great film, kind of like the climax of little black book for 130 minutes. i really love albert brooks' films where he directs and plays the lead, but it makes more sense for james l. to have him play the cucked third man so that the viewer doesn't overdose on his neurosis.
