As 2016 comes to a close, I'm ending off the year with perhaps my favorite film that was released this year. I say perhaps because I am still undecided between this one or Cafe Society.
This movie-watching experience wasn't like the two other viewings I attended (forced upon myself/willingly), one of them being in theaters, and one of them being at home, late at night, where I thoroughly studied the film, and all of its best aspects.
This time, I watched it on a lazy afternoon outside of Barcelona, where I went for New Years to visit my cousins. Everything from Shane Black's perfect use of violence, his excellent dialogue, and the performances in this film, I'd have to say that I can't find a massive con in this movie. It's not perfect, but it's very close.
