Never knew who Chris Sanders was but given the director's repertoire, it's no surprise why "The Wild Robot" turned out so good. Hits you in all the feels, poignant, and almost made me shed a tear.
It's easy to say this is the best animated feature of 2024, but also one of the best in recent memory. While the story touches on some fairly simple messages, it uncovers a heartwarming experience that is entirely resonant and meaningful.
On top of it all, the film's visual design is breathtakingly beautiful. Heard they actually drew some of the scenes here - now that's cinema.
The personification of its characters is rich and whimsical - ultimately just want to raise a baby duck after this one. In the end, you learn a little something about living spirit, acceptance, and helping others. Made me want to step outside and do something in this world.
