It certainly felt like Oppenheimer was among Nolan’s best, maybe even at the very top. One of the most patient, controlled, morally complex and flat out beautifully made movies I’ve ever seen. He trusts you to pick up what’s happening, when, and who everyone is, and you do; all becomes clear right as you figure out what this movie is really about.
