Watching Minions: The Rise of Gru was one of the most interesting theater experiences I’ve had in a while. When my friend and I got to the movies, we could find the theater anywhere. We walked through the entire building to find it, and we couldn’t. We eventually asked the person at the front where it was, and it was right next to the counter. When we walked in, two kids, both probably about 8, took our seats and refused to give them back. The theater was already packed because we got there late, and the only seat left was in the front row to the very left. Now, this screening was a 4DX screening, which meant the seats would shake around, and fog would shoot out every time there was some sort of smoke related scene. The seats that we had to sit in were located in front of the smoke cannons. But, because of our dedication to watch this masterpiece of a film, we sat down in those seats, and got gassed right in the face about 10 times by the worst smelling gas I’ve ever smelt in my life.
I’d be lying if I gave this film anything less than a 5. #MinionSweep
