I love a cozy candle-lit night, and tonight I’m rewatching The VVitch by Robert Eggers, which I only watched once when it came out in 2015.
Honestly, I think it’s my favorite period horror movie. The cast performances are absolutely brilliant. The cinematography by Jarin Blaschke never disappoints. I learned that the film was shot mostly with available and natural light, which resulted in some beautiful visuals.
Thank God there were French subtitles though, otherwise it would have been hard to make it through.
