Never really been a fan of anything Inarritu has made. They're all impresive to be sure, but I'll be damned if he doesn't beg you to find profundity in things that just aren't there.
Glass's relationship with his son is basically non-existant, so his revenge becomes a robotic exercise rather than a strong desire from the audience. As a survival story, I quite like it. Glass's journey is exciting, and incredibly shot.
I found Will Poulter's character the most sympathetic in he movie, and I would've rather watched his story.
