this might be my favorite film… ever?
i’m about to get into some deep shit rn but not a single day goes by without me looking at myself in a mirror and thinking "wow, i’m so fucking ugly". not a single day goes by without me wishing that i had a different face, a different body, different everything that could be "better" basically. not a single day goes by without me scrolling instagram to "perfect" looking men and thinking "wow. i wish that was me. i wish i looked like that. i wish i had his life." this movie is like a friend that takes you by the hand to show you that you’re not alone, and that it’s gonna be okay.
the substance has so many important messages and morals, but the one that really stuck with me after both of my watches is that in the end, why care. you cannot change who you are, and you are beautiful and perfect the way you are. people are so fucking beautiful. all of y’all are beautiful.
remember, you are one.
