sorry to be the bearer of bad news but this gets better with every viewing. Needs some script work still and the sins of the first film hang over it like a wet jacket. But I can’t fight the sheer rush of enjoyment I get from the action set pieces, despite the first half spending too much time treating the dinosaurs like zombies. But once the island goes boom, it’s far and away my favorite of the sequels. A real tragic beauty lingers over the film with its relationship to nature. Humanity tampered with it, now we have to take responsibility for it. Who knows what comes next? J.A. Bayona the god.
Probably not as good as The Last Boy Scout but I like it quite a bit. But damn, I was wrong about this one.
