Not perfect. Deeply missing the Spielberg and Lucas magic. Especially Spielberg, who to this day has not stopped making masterclasses whenever he gets behind the wheel of an action movie. But Mangold isn't a slouch. He's got the goods. He's just not Spielberg and his cinematographer isn't Dean Slocombe or Janusz Kaminski. It's fine, it happens. I have to admire the gusto of a man who said "Yeah, I'll follow in the footsteps of arguably the greatest living filmmaker alive." But as a kid who wore out the trilogy VHS tapes back in the day, that ending got me good. Imperfect but hit me where it counted and that's all I can ask for. Top 5 Harrison Ford performances.
