100-word review: "We live in a society." This film, and its final 30 or so minutes that are filled with visuals you'll never forget, even though you wish you did, weirded me out in all the right, and all the wrong ways. With its practical effects body-horror, Society poses a starkly direct critique of high class culture (literally) feeding off the poor to maintain their standards of living. There are some strange left-unexplained plot points (Clarissa's mom?), and some very 80s 'quality' cinematography and acting moments, but there's also Devin DeVasquez, who plays Clarissa, and who's "a class act" indeed.
