One of the most grim and realistic depictions of nuclear fallout ever committed to screen. I can’t think of a more downbeat and gut-wrenching film that I’ve ever seen.
This film is thoughtful and authentic and does not rely on one single special effect or explosion. It set among a small California community coping with the aftermath of a nuclear attack in a neighboring city. The performances are exquisite across the board. I’m still reeling from this one. This is probably not the best film to watch at this point in the world.
