It’s not a bold statement to say that ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ is among the best action movies of all-time. Start to finish, it’s full of one long action sequence after the other that all amaze. It takes the hallmark of the original Mad Max films, car chases, and turns them into an entire movie upgraded for the 21st century. It’s a reminder that blockbusters are fully capable of being better than even, as long as they do not fall into other pitfalls. Enough glimpses of Furiosa’s backstory are given that it’s clear there’s a larger story to tell there. And I look forward to watching ‘Furiosa’ in theaters for that backstory!
