Love the Giallo feels this one has, the mystery/thiller aspect is front and center here.
I love how they portrayed the 80s, personally felt like they nailed it, most notably when the beginning credits roll they have almost a highlight reel of big events of the 80s.
As Maxine’s past is constantly haunting her on her road to stardom and success in Hollywood, the film succeeds at creating anxiety and paranoia with the presence of the Night Stalker. I do wish there was more kills and gore but the kills we get are pretty gory and bloody, most notably the car squishing kill.
Kevin Bacon is a kick ass villain and steels the scene everytime.
I Was pretty content with the killer reveal, I did however feel like the ending was quite rushed and we could’ve got a bigger pay off or perhaps more emotion from Maxine and her father.
