I didn’t expect to fall in love with this so much and on my first viewing too!! Seriously I was engaged from start to finish while I was watching this and there never got to be a point where it got boring. This is easily one of the best written scripts I have seen because it does so much and explores so many cool concepts while exploring interesting themes there too.
For starters I feel like this explored the feeling of dread in a way that was engaging. It wasn’t afraid to pull back its punches to make some really meaningful and impactful points to the story. What impressed me was the comedy never felt dated and there was points where I was just laughing pretty good at the jokes there. Also I felt like the story develops all the characters in meaningful ways that makes them more in depth which is something I appreciate a lot more and more these days.
You know, stuff like the music, sets and costumes all looked really nice for this production. I really couldn’t find anything to complain or nitpick about because everything was being handled in a very flawless manner.
Can’t believe I have never watched this till now but I’m super thankful to have found a new Christmas classic to watch every year hopefully :3
