This whole film sort of gives you a magical experience that really sticks with you even after the credits start rolling...it's that good. Also I never really was a musical guy before...the genre was never really interesting to me but I've noticed over these past few years that when a musical is done right it's an amazing experience. Also I'm so glad I finally checked this out...like it's one of the most reviewed films on this site and it took me just about 3 years to finally watch it...I'm glad I did though. This film is directed by Damian Chazelle and stars Emma Stone,Ryan Gosling,John Legend,Rosemarie DeWitt and J.K. Simmons in this film that is just magical. Within the literal first shot of this film you're given the hint that this would be something special...and it was. The whole opening was just spectacular and absolutely beautiful to watch and it blew me away. The musical sequences in here are all beautiful looking and very well choreographed. The cinematography is top notch and the color grading is also tremendous...this film looks insanely beautiful. The overall story is just wonderful and the whole film just feels like one giant fairy tale. Emma Stone absolutely rocks in this film and so does Ryan Gosling and their chemistry in this is just stunning and they played off of eachother perfectly. The 1st half was incredible but the last half was just perfect in every way imaginable. The story went in many unique directions and by the time you get to the films final ten or so minutes...you have gone through so many emotions and during those last ten minutes...man it hits you right in the feels and is one of the most emotional endings I've seen to any movie...and barely any dialogue is spoken, silence really is a powerful tool when it comes to storytelling. If you have not seen this then I highly recommend you do check it out since it's lived up to the hype for me and more...so yeah...check this out when you can.
