Easily the best Marvel movie I've seen. I didn't know anything about there being numerous Spider-Mans (other than Miles thanks to the video game), but that didn't hurt my enjoyment of this in the least. If anything, the way it brings in all of these other characters made me think this movie would be a dream for big fans of the comics.
As someone who's never read a Spider-Man comic, it managed to tell a fantastic story even if you don't get every reference. It seems like it could get confusing on paper with all its parallel universe stuff, but that's just a backdrop for Miles' story and a reason to get all these spider folks in the same place.
I loved the voice cast, specifically John Mulaney and Nic Cage. I didn't recognize many of the other actors (outside of Lily Tomlin), but everyone was perfect for their roles.
When I saw the trailer, I thought this was going to be some nonsense Smash Bros. story that just crams a bunch of characters from different comic books together. It's actually the story of Miles learning and convincing himself that he is (his universe's) true Spider-Man, and the way they get there is just great.
So glad I gave this one a chance.
