movie of the year??? everything about this was amazing already but then learning they were playing THEMSELVES oh my god 11/10. seriously the music, the editing, the cinematography, directing- this was firing on all cylinders and was so much fun
also it was just me and z watching this, with a couple other people in the theater (assigned seats, mind you) and during the pre-trailers, this old man sat RIGHT next to me? i was too stunned to speak, so i checked the app, and wouldn't you know it- he DID in fact choose the seat next to me. i was like, okay, whatever, i hate this but i'll deal with it. until this group of TEENAGERS (with two older women) sat in the ENTIRE row in front of us, leaning back into my legs. so i checked a section of the row behind us (last row in the back) and there were no seats, so we moved there. then this other couple (normal looking people) also sat right next to us, so i looked, and in those few minutes, sure enough, two people took the seats to the right of us, and ONE person happened to select the seat to the left of us. i was about to lose my mind, so we moved to the far corner of the theater in the last row, where nobody was going to sit, and finally found peace. until we realized that the guy in the couple NEXT to the new couple was VERY loud. and that didn't stop through the movie. also the teenagers were either scrolling on tiktok (silently, thank god) or taking CONSTANT selfie snapchats on full brightness with the flash. throughout the whole movie.
