“Well if I wasn’t born then who am I?” “You’re nobody…”
I’m glad this bombed on its original release in the box office because when it came time to buy the rights of the movie again the studio was like “nah give it to the public no one likes that piece of crap” thus it went into the public domain and then over the years it played over and over around Christmas time on the public access tv (and a lot of people fell in love with this classic). As a kid we did not have cable so I was almost forced to watch it but I actually really love this movie. I’m not religious by any means but the message is really beautiful I don’t think any of us fully understand the effects we have on other peoples lives. I sometimes forget all the good things I’ve done because when something bad happens I reflect on the worst things; I’ve definitely thought “who needs me?” I forget from time to time a lot of people do, even random strangers I will never see again. The point of life is just live and experience and love and to give back when you can. Maybe I’m just cliche and a big softy but it’s a wonderful life will always remind me of all the good in life.
