I film that I yearn for: to sip the tea, paint Wiccan arts and crafts, and learn “sex magic.” I’m fascinated by how open-ended and possible this film is - for a woman to embrace witches, genre-film-making, and anything coded as “erotic” - yet always questioning and uncomfortable. Just like “Viva,” there’s a poignant embrace of sexuality (never full euphoria or empowerment) that continues to puzzle me. Trauma as haunting as eyelashes.
Love is a dangerous thing. So yes: I think the professor is the hottest guy.
Also, I have yet to rate: a bad/bland Gay Pink & a Nikkatsu “AV.” I need the strength.
