about a third of the way into this I thought “damn, another horror movie that’s leaning on religious and satanic themes 🫤” but even as this progressed, I think this was still really solid. a well-balanced blend of that element with the cryptic serial killer trope was done really well
still have some mixed thoughts on the third act, which I didn’t dislike, but I don’t think it’s nearly as enjoyable as the buildup. very good plot twist though and cool shit with the dolls
