Way too many storylines and subplots, to the point where the film begins to get convoluted and overstuffed. Still, the good outweighs the bad. The main plot point of finding purpose in life, choosing life over death, is well presented through the characters of Lydia and Astrid.
It was honestly such a treat to see Michael Keaton back as Beetlejuice. He was a total hoot. All his scenes were fantastic. I also appreciated the practical effects and old school style of filmmaking from Tim Burton. You can definitely tell he had fun making this film.
