My dad hadn't seen it yet so why the fuck not watch it again with a pair of fresh eyes next to you. Always a pleasure to feed off the energy of someone experiencing a favorite film for the first time. Also, as a side observation, it seemed a minor missed opportunity to have Splendid slip off the rig on the foot that wasn't bloodied by Max's stray bullet. Had she slipped on the blood it would have added a layer of sad irony to her death that no one would even see except the audience. Sometimes you have to show the audience something that the characters don't get to see. That ol' Hitchcock trick.
