With great power comes great expectations for Miles
Parent’s expectations, school’s expectations, and now the expectations to be Spider-Man in his universe.
Others guide him in the same familiar expectations that a Spider-Man should be. All he has to do is take a leap of faith.
Across the Spider-verse makes this more apparent when he pushes away those expectations and finds his own non-canon path.
He’s taken that leap many times over now, but his story has never been the same or felt the same as the other’s leaps. Now, he’s following his own path instead of those typical Spider-Man expectations in Beyond.
Other tidbits I recognized on this watch:
Miles helps Peter B. Parker want to become a dad in this one.
The multiverse windows are all spots - another foreshadow to Spot.
And both films make the same Banksy joke!
