I can't believe this movie exists and singlehandedly reinvented superhero and animated movies. Every moment between the exhilarating opening credits and the hilarious end scene had me in utter awe at the beautiful animation, wise-cracking characters, bopping music, and a no-punches-pulled narrative. What spot-on execution. Spider-Man doesn't get any better than this. I'm so happy that inventive animation and storytelling is still alive, especially coming from a big studio. And I'm so disappointed that my friends and family aren't interested or don't even know this movie exists. Definitely my favorite film of this year.
