i admit i HIGHLY underestimated how much i actually love this film, seeing that i had given it a 3½ star rating and upped it a whole star on what has been my second watch

honestly la la land has one of my favorite scores ever, city of stars has been one of my favorite songs even way before i saw the movie for the first time. one of my favorite scenes in any film i've ever seen is the one where the camera goes back and forth from emma dancing to ryan playing the piano. i also LOVE the ending, i really can't see it going any better.

and although i know that emma stone is a great actress, there's just something about her that's off to me which might be where it loses that ½ star for me. or maybe it's something else i'll notice of my 3rd watch
