Maybe The Oscars Were Right.

It’s kind of insane how much love and care exudes from the screen in every single moment of this film. I’m not going to act like I have much knowledge about the hierarchy of greatest musicals, but that was pretty fucking stellar. 

Gosling? Incapable of giving a bad performance. Stone? So infectiously charismatic. If they were the only two actors left on this planet Hollywood would still be in a pretty decent place. 

Damien Chazelle is in a class of his own. All aboard the Babylon hype train. 

“I’m letting life hit me until it gets tired, and then I’m gonna hit back. It’s a classic rope-a-dope.”
