The “I Could Use a Boost” sequence might be my favourite scene of the year so far.
I can’t stop thinking about this film. I love it. It’s so fresh, so vibrant, so emotive, just bloody brilliant. I think the editing is slightly off in a couple of scenes and I think the ending delves into some unnecessary kid movie cliches but I honestly could not care less because that first act is utterly phenomenal. Up until ‘I Could Use a Boost’ which is my favourite score from the year, I think is absolutely perfect. Such a strong film that I hope I never have to watch with my mum as I fear it may break me.
