Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is one of the most visually stunning films I've seen. The animation is incredibly detailed, creating a style the feels extremely fresh. The script is pitch-perfect, creating a wonderful balance between an array of unique characters. It deals with multiple villains, multiple mentor relationships, and multiple Spider-Man. It is introducing us to a new way to experience Spider-Man, and a new way to experience superhero films. While Raimi and Webb's Spider-Man feel like superhero films with hints of coming of age drama, this story of Miles Morales leans heavily into those tropes, creating a subtly layered coming of age film disguised as a superhero origin story.
