What did I just watch?
The direction is excellent and definitely made this film a frightening experience. The plot is a little bit confusing, but I feel it portrays the craziness of playing Black Swan very effectively.
Natalie Portman does an outstanding performance and deserves the Oscar win. She plays a very fragile and insane person extremely well. The rest of the cast is good.
I like the use of mirrors and shadows to capture the tone of the film. The cinematography is gritty and the handheld shots are powerfully used. The editing is superb and nicely assist the film. The visual effects is cleverly used.
The production and costume designs are very good! Swan Lake really fits the atmosphere of this film!
