Man this felt like such a fucking nothing burger. With how much I love Fury Road, I was so hyped when they announced this. No idea why I put it off for so long but my excitement never lessened.
For one, I really dislike how little Anya there is here. The back story to the back story was WAY too long and that’s kinda where this shit already fucked me up. Clocking out before it really gets going is such a sad thing.
There’s not a lot here I really connect to. The story itself is a really simple story. There’s really not a lot to it for me. It just all feels so bland to me. I also love seeing more of the Wasteland.
While there are a lot of negatives, the action is incredible. I really do love Miller’s corny ass way of doing shit. Speeding up shots for zero reason and having it work is really awesome. There’s some other things I like, I just don’t care to write about any of it.
I don’t have much else to say about it. Really let me down. I’m gonna forget I watched this tomorrow. 2024 is one of the worst years for movies ever I swear to GOD.
