ms marvel is the only reason i wanted to see this and it sort of paid off because iman vellani is just. so fantastic in the role. she truly embodies the heart and spirit of the character of kamala khan and her family dynamic is entertaining. still not a fan of how they changed her entire power-set though, like cmon netflix did an amazing job with luffy’s rubberman powers, disney/marvel you have no excuse.
the villain was so boring and forgettable that i thought she was an mcu only character but nope. some asshole who’s only appeared in two issues. also the movie just has like, no second act whatsoever. the singing planet comes and goes by so fast and the prince character is basically a footnote in the story. i genuinely can't rate this any higher then the original captain marvel because of all of the spinning plates going on. secret invasion got a shitty tv show instead of a movie and we get this. great. i think i finally might stop watching future marvel movies at this rate if cap 4 sucks
