more unnerving than scary. I think this did suffer a bit from being overhyped. I felt a sense of dread under my skin throughout, but I wanted to be scared scared! no fault of the movie's I guess. I like what it's going for and appreciate the performances. the idea of the devil/demons being real forces in our world that can get their hands on people close to us (Rosemary's Baby, the Paranormal Activity movies) always really creeps me out in ways other horror films don't. i guess i just wanted more out of this one. still a great movie.
