Blake Lively shines in a wonderfully magnetic performance, she proves that she’s not just that girl from that show about rich teenagers, it’s great to see her follow up The Shallows and The Age of Adeline with another performance that shows she’s more than just a pretty face.
The movie itself is a convoluted mess that leaves more questions than answers, the ending in particular is rather baffling, I’m literally scratching my head trying to figure out whether that was supposed to be the ending or if they just ran out of cash and decided to just leave it as is. The great central performance by Blake and some rather trippy, Enter the Void-esque cinematography save it from being a complete waste though.
